MorseLife’s Adult Food Program Receives Federal Funding

West Palm Beach, FL, September 18, 2008 – MorseLife, through the Kramer Senior Services Agency, is pleased to announce the re-sponsorship of its adult food program by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s “Child and Adult Food Program.” As part of this ongoing program, meals are available at no separate charge to enrolled eligible participants of the MorseLife adult day centers -- the Schaffer Adult Day Center on the Marilyn & Stanley M. Katz Seniors Campus in West Palm Beach, and the Morse Adult Day Center in Boynton Beach.

"We are pleased to be part of this ongoing program," noted Linda Sevich, Director of Adult Day Centers. "One the most basic needs of individuals is good nutrition, and in offering two nutritious meals per day in our adult day centers, we meet this need on behalf of all of our participants. On behalf of those in need, we are grateful for the funding that the Adult Food program of the U.S. Department of Agriculture provides."

The Adult Food program provides meals to members without regard to race, color, national origin, gender, religion, age or disability. Those eligible for free and/or reduced price meals complete an application with documentation of eligibility information, including the number and names of all household members, social security number of the head of household/primary wage earner or adult signing the application or an indication that a household member does not have one. Further requirements include disclosure of total monthly income and the signature of the adult day center member.
