West Palm Beach, FL (June 12, 2008) -- Marjorie Agran of Palm Beach Gardens succeeds Ellen S. Falk and Sidney Rosenthal as Chairman for Friends of MorseLife. Marjorie has been an active member of the “Friends” for more than five years, twice serving as Gala Chairman.

“I am so pleased to see my friend Marjorie taking on the leadership for the Friends of MorseLife,” noted Ellen Falk. “Both Sid and I know that we are leaving this organization in very good hands – Marjorie is a well experienced, collaborative and warm individual, and she really has a passion for our mission. We wish her the best.”
Regarding her passion for the work of MorseLife, Marjorie notes that she has personally seen that the level of care provided far exceeds the care at other facilities. “When I saw a family member treated with such dignity and respect, I vowed to get involved, and strive to ‘give back’ some of the warmth and care that is given to residents,” said Marjorie. “It is wonderful to see how the Friends of MorseLife – such caring men and women of our community – can contribute so greatly to the organization’s vision of enhancing the lives of our cherished seniors.”
Raised in Forest Hills, New York, she, her husband Jay and four children resided in Connecticut for twenty years before moving to BallenIsles Country Club in Palm Beach County. She graduated from the University of Miami and taught first grade in Florida and Connecticut.
The Friends of MorseLife Day is among the major fund raising events for the Friends of MorseLife – a group of community members – of various ages and interests – committed to enhancing the quality of life to the seniors served by MorseLife. Events such as this one help to pay for both designated gifts, flowers and wine for Shabbat and the holidays, events and outings and presents for residents of Morse Geriatric Center for Chanukah, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. Additionally, the group provides funding for a music enhancement program and Direct TV service for all Morse Geriatric Center residents, as well as special needs grants.
