Director of Nursing
This position is primarily responsible for:
- The direction and management of nursing unit operations for 5 long term care units.
- Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of resident care to assure overall quality of care, cost effective care delivery and compliance with state and federal regulatory guidelines.
- Provides leadership, supervision and direction for development/evaluation of nursing personnel in accordance with organizational and departmental philosophies, goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program and FL RN licensure
- Gerontological certification/experience preferred
- Current BLS certification, IV certified and/or experience including central lines
- Must possess excellent geriatric assessment skills
- Must have successful supervisory experience in long term care setting including OBRA standards/survey process
